Matrix - Gloeckler-Porsche 356 Special Roadster Weidenhausen 1:43 model
Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Gloeckler-Porsche 356 Special Weidenhausen 1952 Frankfurt VW dealer Walter Gloeckler was a racing enthusiast and was quick to embrace the new Porsche engines when they became available for his racing specials. The car modelled here was the third of his cars and was based on an early production Porsche 356, the owner agreeing to badge it simply as a Porsche to help promote the still relatively new company. Bodywork was by another Frankfurt firm, Weidenhausen and featured a removable hardtop so that the car could be raced as a coupe or spider. We see it modelled as it has been restored, with the roof in place and the overall shape looks very good, as is the finish in a fine silver with just the right level of shine.
Very well finished resincast models. Made in China.
