Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Ferrari 412MI Monza 500 1958 #12 All reference that we can find to the ‘Monzanapolis’ race in 1958, where the best of American oval racing came head to head with European teams, describe the #12 Ferrari driven by Mike Hawthorn as a 296, the 412 wearing #14 and driven by Phil Hill and Luigi Musso. All three drivers seemed to share driving of this smaller car and the photo of the car in the instructions is certainly Hawthorn at the wheel. The shape of the model looks pretty good when compared with that photo, which is the most important aspect, and the castings are generally clean. The body is resin, most of the remaining parts are in white metal and the wheels are in kit form with fine etched centres to go with neatly machined rims.
Relatively simple resin & metal kits extremely similar in style to MG Models. Made in Italy.
