Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Ferrari 212 Syracuse 1951 #18 Serafini With a 2.5 Grand Prix formula mooted for 1952, Ferrari experimented during 1951 with a number of configurations, this small capacity V12 machine one of a pair making their debut at Syracuse and finishing second (albeit three laps down on the winning car with double the capacity!) in the hands of Dorino Serafini. The kit parts are based on an older MG Model Plus release and are primarily white metal. There is a fair amount of cleaning up and fettling to be done on the castings but the potential is there for a very well detailed model with full engine and a reasonable level of chassis detail. Wiring and plumbing is included and there’s a modest amount of etch for the finer parts including the spokes for the kit form wire wheels. One for the more advanced builder.
