Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Borgward RS1500 Schauinsland 1958 #33 Neo list this car as being from the Freiburg-Schauinsland hillclimb event but the race numbers don’t match any event records that we’ve found and the rear bodywork is also not right for this event. The only photos that we’ve found in this configuration are of a restored car in a show and the number style suggests the Avus race in 1958 for which Borgward entered three cars. Although we’ve been unable to find a shot of #33 in period, #s 31 and 32 were the other Borgward cars. The model itself is finished in a steel blue and has wet weathering on the wheels and behind the wheel arches.
Very well finished resincast models. Mostly road cars, though with a few interesting competition subjects. Rapidly establishing themselves as one of the best ranges we see in terms of quality and value for money. Made in China
