Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Toyota Celica GrB Turbo 1st Safari 1984/5/6 With a live rear axle and rear wheel drive, Toyota’s Group B Celica was rather outdated when it appeared in 1984 and was woefully outclassed on European events. It was however very powerful and very strong, ideal for the rough fast roads of the Safari rally where it was never beaten. This well detailed kit offers the option of building any of those three winning cars, two driven by Waldegaard and the other by Kankkunen. The bulk of the kit parts are resin and these include engine, gearbox, turbos and other drivetrain parts. White metal is provided for the roll cage, bullbar and some of the suspension links and there is also some soft metal braided hose for under bonnet. There is also plenty of scope to add your own personal touches as there is no wiring included and for seat belts there are etched buckles and a cutting guide for the straps but no material, so T2M’s belt sets (T2M2004C) will come in handy here. Take your time and this will build a fine model.
