Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Triumph Herald Saloon Monte 1960 #250 Alternative version PRX0320 Road Triumph launched their Michelotti styled Herald in 1959 and it was immediately popular, the all independent suspension giving a smooth ride and the hinged front bodywork allowing easy access to the engine. The factory team entered several examples on the Monte Carlo rally in 1960, all of which were coupes, but it is a privately entered saloon that features here, the car of Norwich-based Ted Cleghorn, unusual among competitors in that he only had one arm! The shape of the car is very good and most of the detailing on the rally version looks to be correct, although the registration number (difficult to read on the few event photos available) should be 2510 NG, not 250 WG as seen on the model (Virage decal VIR134 could help here) and it should be right hand drive!
