Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Ferrari TRI60 Modena Tests 1960/61 Over the winter of 1960/61, Ferrari worked hard at developing their slightly outdated TRI with various body modifications. This kit depicts the car as it first ran at Modena with a new rear fin and lowered dash panel. The main resin body casting has quite a few feed tags and bits of flash to clean off but don’t get too carried away, the very poor surface on the tails and around the bonnet opening is supposed to be like that as the car ran with these areas in raw hammered aluminium. You will need to make a two tone finish with red for the smooth parts of the body and Alclad’s Dull Aluminium (ALC117) would be ideal for the rest. The bonnet is a separate panel and there is a very well detailed V12 engine to go beneath. The excellent wire wheels are supplied pre-assembled and with care this will make for a very impressive model.
Excellent kits, hand-built models and accessories (for plastic) using resin bodies, white metal parts, lots of very fine photo-etching and good decals. Some castings need cleaning. Excellent instructions. Beautifully built models too. Made in France
