Maserati 250F 5th Argentina 1955 #18/22/26 by Renaissance
Maserati 250F Argentina 1955 #18/22/26
Hand built available REN4329IMB #26 REN4329IMI #18 & REN4329IMU #22
Maserati entered no fewer than seven 250Fs in Argentina and this kit offers the choice from three of them. The weather was extremely hot and most cars saw two or three drivers taking turns behind the wheel, the only two in the field to make it through solo being Fangio who won in his Mercedes and Mieres who finished fifth (some five laps down) in #18. #22 was officially Musso’s car for the Argentinean Grand Prix but such was the heat Mantovani and Schell also took turns to bring it home seventh and Bucci started the race in #26, which was subsequently driven by Schell and Menditeguy, before breaking down. The kit parts are typical for Renaissance’s 250Fs with a well-proportioned resin body and chassis, resin and white metal ancillaries and plenty of fine etch including the complex front suspension.

About Renaissance
Excellent kits and conversion sets (for plastic) using resin bodies, white metal parts, lots of very fine photo-etching and good decals. Some castings need cleaning. Excellent instructions. Classic subjects (REN43 refs) are relatively simple builds, while the Integral series (RENI) of more modern subjects are a little more complex. Made in France
