Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Maserati 250F 1955 Chassis 2508 Macklin Kit also available REN4355 With Moss driving for Mercedes, his Maserati 250F was driven by a number of private entrants during 1955, Lance Macklin taking the helm at Aintree. For this race the car was painted pale grey with white stripes and a union flag band around the radiator opening. Race photos donít show much gloss on the car and so Renaissance has used a satin (primer?) finish for the grey. The white stripes are all neatly applied, as is that flag on the nose and we see plenty of carefully placed fine detailing. The car sits on Dunlop disc wheels and overall the model looks the part.
Excellent kits, hand-built models and accessories (for plastic) using resin bodies, white metal parts, lots of very fine photo-etching and good decals. Some castings need cleaning. Excellent instructions. Beautifully built models too. Made in France
