Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine The first of these two hand built models depicts one of the best known GTOs, the silver and blue machine of Tavano that raced with some success in its early career, although on the Tour de France it did not finish. The second is the car sold to John Mecom by Luigi Chinetti, arriving in Nassau just in time for the Speed Week having been delayed during shipping from France where it had won the Paris 1000kms. Nassau was the first time that Roger Penske had raced a Ferrari and he won both his heat and the trophy race. Both models are well finished, as we expect from Renaissance, with the wheels painted rather than in garish stainless steel and plenty of neatly applied details.
Excellent kits, hand-built models and accessories (for plastic) using resin bodies, white metal parts, lots of very fine photo-etching and good decals. Some castings need cleaning. Excellent instructions. Beautifully built models too. Made in France
