Ferrari 250 GTO 2nd LM 63/1st TDF 64 by Renaissance
Considering that it’s such an iconic car, it is perhaps a little surprising that these new kits from Renaissance are the only current 250 GTO kits in 1:43. Not that that should be the primary reason for buying and building one though, it looks like a good kit. The core parts are very similar in all three kits, though there are subtle changes to the main body castings for specific details. The resin parts are well cast and offer plenty of interior detail and the option is there to open either or both of the doors should you wish, though this will require some cutting of the bodyshell. There’s plenty of fine etch for the smallest details and the clearly printed decal sheets offer several options with clear colour placement drawings for decals in each case. Whichever option you choose you should be rewarded with a fine miniature and there are many, many more variations to come.

About Renaissance
Excellent kits and conversion sets (for plastic) using resin bodies, white metal parts, lots of very fine photo-etching and good decals. Some castings need cleaning. Excellent instructions. Classic subjects (REN43 refs) are relatively simple builds, while the Integral series (RENI) of more modern subjects are a little more complex. Made in France
