Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Renaissance continue their ambitious project to model all of the Ferrari 250GTOs with two more kits offering three chassis between them. 3987GT was delivered to Chinetti in October 1962 and immediately pressed into action at Monthery where the Rodriguez brothers won the Paris 1000kms. It was then shipped to Nassau where Roger Penske drove in three events, winning two. The second kit offers two different cars, 3851GT again being pressed into immediate competition and finishing second on the Tour de France while 4675GT crashed heavily on the following year’s event and was subsequently rebodied in the 1964 style. As modelled all four options have the same basic body details in terms of light positions on the front and the number of side vents. The resin bodies are cleanly cast and the instructions include clear colour images for decoration and decal placement.
Excellent kits, hand-built models and accessories (for plastic) using resin bodies, white metal parts, lots of very fine photo-etching and good decals. Some castings need cleaning. Excellent instructions. Beautifully built models too. Made in France
