Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Ferrari 250 GTO 2nd Daytona 1964 #35 Kit available REN4362-09 This GTO (#4491GT) started life with Maranello Concessionaires and after a short time then passed to the ownership of David Piper. It was in Piperís green livery that the car appeared in the Daytona 2000km race (the first 24 Hours was two years away) and sharing with Lucien Bianchi he finished second. Renaissanceís model is typically well finished with excellent paint and plenty of fine etched detailing. One very neat touch is the quick release fuel filler which sees a wire from the flip up cap which goes through the rear windscreen and attaches to the dashboard so that the driver just need to give it a sharp tug!
Excellent kits, hand-built models and accessories (for plastic) using resin bodies, white metal parts, lots of very fine photo-etching and good decals. Some castings need cleaning. Excellent instructions. Beautifully built models too. Made in France
