Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Ferrari 250 GTO Targa 1963 #106 Von Czazy Hand built available REN4362-10M106 In the invaluable 250GTO history by Bluemel and Pourett we are told that this car was heavily modified during the tenure of its first owner “...mainly due to frequent contact with the scenery.”! Period race photos certainly bear that out and it also explains the very small radiator opening seen on the Targa and at the Nurburgring. They also describe the central strip as being edged in blue, rather than the green on the decal sheet but we have found an excellent close up shot of the car at the Ring which would suggest that Renaissance is correct. The prime decal option in the kit is the Targa, where the car retired in a wall, but the instructions also show race and practice variants from Germany, although there is also another kit (REN4362-10B) for this race with suitably rippled bodywork.
Excellent kits, hand-built models and accessories (for plastic) using resin bodies, white metal parts, lots of very fine photo-etching and good decals. Some castings need cleaning. Excellent instructions. Beautifully built models too. Made in France
