Ferrari 250 GTO Sebring/Road 63 Mecom by Renaissance

Ferrari 250 GTO Sebring/Road America 1963 Mecom
Hand built available REN4362-14M24 Sebring & REN4362-14M7 Road America
Chassis 3987GT was originally red and raced a number of times duing 1962 before being sold to John Mecom at the end of the year and repainted in his familiar metallic blue and white for the following season, as seen here. The most famous result in these colours was fourth overall and a class win at Sebring, which is the primary option in the kit. You also have the choice of the car as it appeared at Road America, the red backgrounds to the white race numbers making this version visually interesting. Penske & Pabst drove on both occasions and as usual the kit parts are well made and the small specific details well observed.

About Renaissance

Excellent kits and conversion sets (for plastic) using resin bodies, white metal parts, lots of very fine photo-etching and good decals. Some castings need cleaning. Excellent instructions. Classic subjects (REN43 refs) are relatively simple builds, while the Integral series (RENI) of more modern subjects are a little more complex. Made in France
