Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Monopole-Simca Le Mans 1949 Hand built available - REN4373M & REN4373M44 This typically well thought out kit from Renaissance offers two options from the 1949 Le Mans race, car #44 finishing a very creditable twelfth overall and winning the 1100c.c. class, while the sister #45 machine retired in the seventeenth hour with engine failure. The instructions took several readings to work out properly what goes where and there appear to be a few surplus etched parts, but the way the components are designed mean that there should be some very fine detail on your finished model. One excellent touch is the inclusion of number stencils to lay over the front grilles for the painting of race numbers, so much better than decals on etched mesh.
Excellent kits, hand-built models and accessories (for plastic) using resin bodies, white metal parts, lots of very fine photo-etching and good decals. Some castings need cleaning. Excellent instructions. Beautifully built models too. Made in France
