Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Monopole Simca Le Mans 1949 #44 Kit available REN4373 Two near identical Monopoles appeared at Le Mans in 1949, entered in the hotly contested 750-1100c.c. category. While its teammate won the class #45 had less good fortune, retiring after seventeen hours with engine trouble. Renaissance has captured the shape of the cars well and the level of finish is excellent. On the photos that we have the headlights are visible through the stone guards either side of the grille which is not the case on the models but otherwise they check out well.
Excellent kits, hand-built models and accessories (for plastic) using resin bodies, white metal parts, lots of very fine photo-etching and good decals. Some castings need cleaning. Excellent instructions. Beautifully built models too. Made in France
