Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Maserati 250F 5th Italy 1955 Menditeguy Kit available REN4379 There are a huge number of race options in Renaissance’s kit and this second batch of hand builts brings the number that we’ve seen so far to seventeen! The finish of all of the models is to Renaissance’s usual high standards with excellent paint and neatly fitted small details. Of the British Grand Prix options, Musso was the only finisher, bringing his car home in fifth, Mieres and Behra both suffering mechanical failures. For their home race, Maserati seconded some of the more experienced privateer 250F pilots to the factory team and so Peter Collins and Horace Gould were in works machinery. The best result for the team was Behra in fourth, with Menditeguy fifth, Mieres seventh and the two Englishmen retiring. Renaissance is certainly being thorough with these factory cars!
Excellent kits, hand-built models and accessories (for plastic) using resin bodies, white metal parts, lots of very fine photo-etching and good decals. Some castings need cleaning. Excellent instructions. Beautifully built models too. Made in France
