Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine This is a kit that many modellers have been looking forward to for some time and it's one that presents a few challenges for the builder. The design of the car means that the rear deck area is very thin, dangerously so in places, so you may find that you need to do a little reinforcing with putty during paint preparation, which is very unusual for Renaissance as their casting techniques are based on the very sensible principle that it is much simpler to remove excess material than build voids up. The rest of the castings are generally good and there is plenty of fine photo-etched detail. The decals are clearly printed and supplemented by a sheet of Baremetal Foil (BMF) for which there is a separate printed template. The instructions are a little sketchy on the application of the decoration but with common sense and a few race photos, such as Automodelisme (AUTO2009) it should all make sense.
Excellent kits, hand-built models and accessories (for plastic) using resin bodies, white metal parts, lots of very fine photo-etching and good decals. Some castings need cleaning. Excellent instructions. Beautifully built models too. Made in France
