Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine This is something a little different. The Trabant was the main car produced in East Germany and was intended as transport for the masses in a similar way that the VW Beetle was on the other side of the Iron Curtain. The approach was very different though, the 'Trabi' being powered by an air-cooled two-stroke engine driving the front wheels and the bodywork made of a resin reinforced cotton known as Duraplast. Revell's kit is well proportioned and includes a pretty good level of detail, with a full engine and detailed suspension. There are no garish chrome parts as the car doesn't have any chrome on it and all is neatly moulded. A bit of fun.
Reasonably accurate and reasonably well detailed plastic kits. Made in China.
