Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine BMW Z1 BMW’s Z1 roadster was originally a concept never intended for sale, but public response saw it put into limited production and, between the summers of 1989 and 1991, 8,000 examples were completed. Mechanically the car shared many of its components with the 325i and there is a fairly well detailed straight-six engine under the opening bonnet. The most distinctive feature of the car was doors that retract into the sills and these are moulded in such a way that they can be raised or lowered on the model. A fun project and an interesting subject.
Reasonably accurate and reasonably well detailed plastic kits. Made in China.
