Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Kit also available RL084C The first two models here depict the same car, that of John Coombes which was entered for various well known drivers of the day. This was the first E Type delivered and initially wore the famous Coombes registration BUY 1 before being reregistered 4 WPD shortly after. Apart from the plate, the models are identical and we’re unsure which races they represent. The third model here is of the car delivered to Dick Wilkins for use as a road car and unraced until far more recently when it has become a regular on the classic racing scene. All three models are well finished with decent paint and carefully applied small details.
Reasonably well cast white metal kits that build with ease. Open wheeled subjects usually accurate, road cars not always so. With hand-built models again single seaters usually better. Made in England.
