Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Lotus 64 Indy 1969 Rindt Alternative version RL096M Andretti RL096M70 Hill & RL096 kit Lotus built four examples of the 64 for the Indy 500, one each for Andretti, Hill and Rindt and a spare. Apart from the colour id flashes on the front and rear wings, the Rindt and Hill cars differed from Andretti’s in the fitting of a most unusual mirror mounting hoop high above the front of the cockpit. This and the other small detailing is well done and the main dayglo orange paint finish is painfully excellent. Nicely done and interesting models of un-raced machines.
Reasonably well cast white metal kits that build with ease. Open wheeled subjects usually accurate, road cars not always so. With hand-built models again single seaters usually better. Made in England.
