This release marks a first for SMTS as the pattern was created using 3D printing rather than traditional hand carving and that means that the panel lines on the bodyshell are extremely precise. The rest of the production process is more traditional and there is a small amount of flash to remove during clean up on our sample kit, but nothing tricky. The dry fit of the parts is excellent and we’ve already seen with the hand built that careful assembly will produce a fine model.
