Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine The Monaco Grand Prix was the second race of the 1967 season and the first of three wins for Denny Hulme which ultimately saw him win the World Championship at season's end. SMTS have modelled the car without the small scoop on the top of the front bodywork that is visible in many photos but clearly not fitted in others, so we're unsure if this fell off during the race or the scoopless photos are from practice. The kit parts are well cast and the hand built shows that they will go together well. There is a fair amount of engine detail and plenty of scope to add a little more if you are building the kit. Kit builders should also note that colour photos from the race suggest that the exhausts were white rather than grey as noted in the instructions and on the built. There are plenty of photos around of this car, so the choice is yours.
Reasonably well cast white metal kits that build with ease. Open wheeled subjects usually accurate, road cars not always so. With hand-built models again single seaters usually better. Made in England.
