Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Aston Martin AMR Le Mans 1989 #18/19 Hand built available RL120M18 #18 & RL120M19 #19 In 1989 Aston Martin returned to Le Mans as a works team after an absence of a quarter of a century with two Group C machines developed with input from Mallock and run by Ecurie Ecosse, the lead car finishing eleventh. SMTS have captured the shape of the car pretty well, the A-pillar is a little thick but otherwise things look good and the castings will need minimal clean up. The kit has an etched brass baseplate, so the splitter will be nice and fine on your finished model and there is further etch for rear wing endplates, brakes and a few other fine details. The colour density on the decals is a little inconsistent for the main red and blue livery panels and this was something that we noticed on the hand built models, so be careful here.
Reasonably well cast white metal kits that build with ease. Open wheeled subjects usually accurate, road cars not always so. With hand-built models again single seaters usually better. Made in England.
