Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine G99 Porsche Spyder Grand-Am 2002 This unique open car was built by Gunnar Racing in 1999 to race in the 2000 Grand-Am season but Champion Racing, who they hoped would take the car, bought a Lola instead and it lay dormant until 2002 when it eventually took to the track in a test session. The car never raced in this form, but for 2003 a roof was fitted and it appeared in a variety of liveries. The kit is relatively simple in the style of an old Provence Moulage kit (in fact the vacform bears a PM part number) with resin for most of the parts and fine etched centres to the wheels. The main body will need quite a bit of flash removal and there are a couple of pinholes on our sample, so care will be needed here. Once the body is clean it should all be straightforward and it will certainly make for something unusual in the Porsche cabinet!
