Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Cooper T51 1st Italy 1959 #14 Moss Stirling Moss and Rob Walker had a strategy for the Italian GP and it was based on the more powerful and heavier Ferraris needing to change tyres and hoping that their lightweight Cooper wouldn’t. It paid off and Moss drove a controlled race to win in Ferrari’s back yard. The hinged rear body section reveals a well detailed Coventry Climax engine with Cooper embossed transaxle behind and full suspension. Oddly, as with the first Cooper released by Schuco, they have chosen to replicate the modern jump battery plug which is a shame. The model is shipped with the front body section separate and here we see plenty of chassis detail and plumbing including capillary tubes to the oil and water gauges in the dash. The bodywork does need a little bit of a squeeze to fit but once in place sits nice and snugly.
High quality, well finished die-cast models. Made in Germany.
