Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Citroen C4 Le Mans 1932 #19 Also available SLM32019M built The SLM range is all about modelling the more unusual machines to have raced at Le Mans and they don't come much rarer than this Citroen. This special built on a C4 chassis is the only example of the marque to have taken the start to date (although an SM did attempt to qualify in 1972) and as it lasted just three laps there is only one known clear photo of it on track, plus at least one other very poor image of it pre-race. As a result a certain amount of the modelling must be guessed, but from the front 3/4 SLMÂ’s offering looks very good and the car certainly appears to have a boat-tail in the photos. The bulk of the model is cast in white metal with resin used only for the body tub. A little fettling will be needed to get a snug fit between body and chassis when building the kit and the hand built model shows that it does all go together well to make an attractive miniature of a unique subject.
