Although the GT takes over the mantle of the SLS as the flagship sportscar in Mercedes’ line-up, it is not a direct replacement as it is a smaller machine and priced to go head to head with the 911, Audi R10, Jaguar F Type and others. It will also become the basis of their GT3 challenger in 2016. It’s a well-proportioned machine and Spark’s model captures the shape well. The white paintwork on our sample helps highlight the small body details with the various vents picked out in black and we can see a smartly finished interior in red and black.

About Spark
The range which changed the 1:43 model market and for which we coined the term 'resincast'. Resin rather than traditional diecast bodies mean that relatively short production runs can be made and what might be marginal subjects become viable. Quality is very consistent with plenty of fine etch used where necessary. A huge range is the result, covering all aspects of (mostly postwar) motorsport and a wide variety of road cars. We typically see around 30 new subjects released per month and pre-orders are strongly recommended. Made in China & Madagascar.
