Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine BRM P261 Belgium 1966 Bondurant The records show that Bob Bondurant’s car was race number 8 for the Belgian GP in 1966. The race was one filmed for the movie “Grand Prix” and as Bruce McLaren’s car was not able to start the race, Bondurant’s was repainted before the race and wore McLaren’s race number. Just to add further confusion, for reasons of film plot, the American ended up wearing Chris Amon’s crash helmet colours! Photos of the car in good condition aren’t easy to find as rain just before the start saw several cars crash, this one among them. An interesting F1 subject, well modelled and one that makes for a talking point.
Very well finished mass produced resin built models. Ever improving detailing now incorporating more use of photoetched details for added finesse and with excellent paint finishes. Made in China
