Abarth 2000 Bialbero Monoposto LSR 1965 by Spark
German engineer Klaus Steinmetz was the man behind the development, and the wheel, of this and a couple of other Abarth record cars built to attack standing start times in various capacity classes. The wheels were fully flared and the tuned length exhaust for the 216 bhp, 2-litre engine poked out of the back of the car for over eighty centimetres! The whole car, including the rather bizarre exhaust, is neatly modelled and in keeping with the rest of Spark’s Abarth range, the panel lines have been highlighted in black.

About Spark
The range which changed the 1:43 model market and for which we coined the term 'resincast'. Resin rather than traditional diecast bodies mean that relatively short production runs can be made and what might be marginal subjects become viable. Quality is very consistent with plenty of fine etch used where necessary. A huge range is the result, covering all aspects of (mostly postwar) motorsport and a wide variety of road cars. We typically see around 30 new subjects released per month and pre-orders are strongly recommended. Made in China & Madagascar.
