Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Lola T70 Mk3 BOAC 500 1967 #4 Taylor The Lola T70s proved their speed but not reliability at Brands Hatch, the Sid Taylor car starting from pole and the Surtees machine alongside on the front row. Both led the race, Hulme breaking the lap record first in the white car, then Surtees. The red car suffered carburettor problems which caused lean running and melted pistons, while the white machine had valve gear problems and retired eventually with clutch failure. There are plenty of photos of the cars around and Spark have done a fine job of capturing the smaller details with various winglets and gurney flaps, the spare wheel mountings (horizontal for Surtees, vertical for Taylor) and the rather makeshift luggage box under the tail all neatly made in photo-etch for the red car.
Very well finished mass produced resin built models. Ever improving detailing now incorporating more use of photoetched details for added finesse and with excellent paint finishes. Made in China
