Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Lamborghini 291 San Marino 1991 van de Poele Alternative version SPK1717 Larini Nicola Larini and his Team Modena Lamborghini surprised everyone in the opening race of the 1991 season around the streets of Phoenix, not only qualifying for the race but finishing seventh. In the first European race of the season at Imola, van de Poele was running fifth when his car cut out on the final lap, eventually to be classified ninth, apparently out of fuel. It was downhill after that! Both models are very well finished in a smart metallic blue and the unusual shape of the car, with its almost triangular sidepods, looks good. Decoration changed from session to session at race meetings and the decal placement appears correct for the relevant races, the only error we can see being the colour of the stripes on the rear wing endplates for the van de Poele version.
Very well finished mass produced resin built models. Ever improving detailing now incorporating more use of photoetched details for added finesse and with excellent paint finishes. Made in China
