Tyrrell 007 South Africa 1976 #15 Scheckter by Spark
In the same way that we still see them today in Moto GP racing, local ‘wild card’ entries were a common sight in F1 in the 70s and in South Africa in particular. Ian Scheckter, older brother of Jody, was one such driver and here is a car that is very rarely seen, probably because he crashed out on the opening lap of the race. It’s a smart looking car, finished in the red, white and blue of the Lexington team and though the title branding is on the model, three logo decals will need to be applied on either side of the airbox and the front of the cockpit cowling.

About Spark
The range which changed the 1:43 model market and for which we coined the term 'resincast'. Resin rather than traditional diecast bodies mean that relatively short production runs can be made and what might be marginal subjects become viable. Quality is very consistent with plenty of fine etch used where necessary. A huge range is the result, covering all aspects of (mostly postwar) motorsport and a wide variety of road cars. We typically see around 30 new subjects released per month and pre-orders are strongly recommended. Made in China & Madagascar.
