Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine The Flying Lizard team’s two Porsches in 2011 were among the most colourful cars to have ever appeared at Le Mans and were always going to be prime candidates for modelling. The #80 GT Pro car just edges it for us with the vivid metallic orange paint on the front end and this was also the one of the pair that finished the race, despite having to have some major repairs. The metallic paint scales better on these larger models than it did on the 1:43s that Spark produced last year and the general level of finish is just right, not too glossy and dulled down badly by the large areas of decal carrier. There’s a huge amount of detail in the cockpit and outside things are neatly done too with plenty of fine etch. There’s a lot of resin here and they’re hefty pieces, both in terms of picking them up and their presence in a collection.
Very well finished mass produced resin built models. Ever improving detailing now incorporating more use of photoetched details for added finesse and with excellent paint finishes. Made in China
