Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Lotus 18 6th France 1960 Flockhart Alternative version SPK1824 Ireland & SPK1825 Surtees Lotus were clearly experimenting with aerodynamics a little at Reims in 1960, Jim Clark’s car running in conventional form and those of Ireland and Flockhart with smaller radiator openings and variations on engine intake. In Flockhart’s case the intake trumpets were covered over with an aluminium panel to smooth airflow. The narrow nose was also painted white which adds visible interest and the details are all neatly modelled. In the race he finished sixth behind Clark.
Very well finished mass produced resin built models. Ever improving detailing now incorporating more use of photoetched details for added finesse and with excellent paint finishes. Made in China
