Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Porsche 962 1st Daytona 1989 Miller Under our office lights the first impression on this superbly finished model was that the colour was perhaps a little dark, but blessed with a rare sunny day we took it outside and it really fizzes in the bright light! Looking at a wide selection of race photos from the season, it was certainly a very light dependent shade of gold and on balance we think Spark has it about right. Another query was the lack of a windscreen wiper, despite the real car photos on the packaging showing one, but again dig into the race images and we see the car high on the banking with no wiper in place. The overall shape of the model looks very good and the various intakes and strakes on the bodywork are very finely done. The panel engraving is nice and crisp and the decals are clearly printed, carefully placed and snuggle into shut lines. Overall an impressive model of the Daytona winner driven by Bell, Wollek & John Andretti.
Very well finished mass produced resin built models. Ever improving detailing now incorporating more use of photoetched details for added finesse and with excellent paint finishes. Made in China
