Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Lotus 24 1st Aintree 200 1962 Clark Alternative version SPK2139 Gregory & SPK2140 Penske The Lotus 24 was designed around the Climax V8 engine and was a very sleek looking machine. It didnít win any Grands Prix, but was victorious in non-championship races such as the Aintree 200. In this race the engine was completely enclosed but soon the side cowlings would be removed to show some of the power unit and provide much needed cooling. Several privateer teams ran the cars, with UDT Laystall among the quickest. Masten Gregory was one of their regular drivers for the season and a third UDT car appeared at Watkins Glen, painted in the yellow of of DuPont and entered under the Team Zerex banner for Roger Penske. This is a particularly unusual looking variant of the car and all are well finished, as we expect from Spark.
Very well finished mass produced resin built models. Ever improving detailing now incorporating more use of photoetched details for added finesse and with excellent paint finishes. Made in China
