Alfa Romeo 8C Le Mans 1934 #6 Howe/Rose-Richards by Spark
Alfa Romeo 8C Le Mans 1934 #6
Alternative version SPKLM034 1st Le Mans
All four of the Alfa Romeos in the 1934 Le Mans race were private entries and they were the cars to beat, although in the end mechanical problems put paid to three of them. Earl Howe’s light blue machine was the last of the trio to stop, lighting problems having dropped him down the running and then clutch failure ending play. The overall shape of the car on Spark’s model looks good and the mounting bracket detail on the wings is very neatly done, as are other details such as the fine bonnet straps which appear to disappear through the top of the panels.

About Spark
The range which changed the 1:43 model market and for which we coined the term 'resincast'. Resin rather than traditional diecast bodies mean that relatively short production runs can be made and what might be marginal subjects become viable. Quality is very consistent with plenty of fine etch used where necessary. A huge range is the result, covering all aspects of (mostly postwar) motorsport and a wide variety of road cars. We typically see around 30 new subjects released per month and pre-orders are strongly recommended. Made in China & Madagascar.
