Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Minardi M189 Japan 1989 Barilla Alternative version SPK4110 Martini & SPK4112 Barilla Minardi had one of their better seasons in 1989 with a number of points finishes, the first of which was Pierluigi Martiniís fifth place at Silverstone. An injury to Martini meant that Paolo Barilla received the opportunity to make his first F1 race start in Japan and he qualified reasonably well onlo to fry his clutch at the start and retire on the opening lap. The cars were well photographed during the year and the models look good when compared with these images. The white and yellow sections of the livery are painted with the black and the sponsorship all neatly applied as clearly printed decal.
Very well finished mass produced resin built models. Ever improving detailing now incorporating more use of photoetched details for added finesse and with excellent paint finishes. Made in China
