Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Peugeot DKR Dakar 2015 #304 Sainz Alternative version SPK4454 Peterhansel & SPK4456 Despres Having enjoyed great success in the deserts in the late 1980s, Peugeot returned to the Dakar in 2015 after an absence of 25 years. Their purpose built weapon was a mid-engined, rear wheel drive machine powered by a twin-turbo diesel V6 and the composite bodywork was loosely styled on the 2008 Crossover. The end result is a brutal looking machine with huge ground clearance and the Red Bull livery helps to accentuate the aggressive look. Spark’s models are crisply moulded and well finished with the main blue in high gloss paint and the remainder of the livery as clearly printed decal.
Very well finished mass produced resin built models. Ever improving detailing now incorporating more use of photoetched details for added finesse and with excellent paint finishes. Made in China
