Alternative version SPK4561 Manchester City SPK4640 #21 SPK4641 #22 & SPK4642 #23Nissan’s GT-R LM looks very smart in its various race trims but in the raw carbon fibre it is even better. There were a few test sessions run on various American circuits and the decoration seen here matches that seen in Kentucky during May 2015. Spark has gone for a full carbon textured finish rather than just satin black and the main bodywork appears to have been decalled rather than tampo-printed, with the pattern sitting deep into the crisp panel lines. The rear wing and front splitter have a higher gloss finish and the few small supplier logos and number decals are clearly printed and neatly placed.
The range which changed the 1:43 model market and for which we coined the term 'resincast'. Resin rather than traditional diecast bodies mean that relatively short production runs can be made and what might be marginal subjects become viable. Quality is very consistent with plenty of fine etch used where necessary. A huge range is the result, covering all aspects of (mostly postwar) motorsport and a wide variety of road cars. We typically see around 30 new subjects released per month and pre-orders are strongly recommended. Made in China & Madagascar.
