Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Hawk III 1st Indy 500 1969 Andretti Mario Andretti was scheduled to drive the four wheel drive Lotus 64 at Indy, but after suspension problems in practice, opted to start the race in a much modified two-year old Hawk. A shrewd choice in the end as this most unusual looking machine carried him to victory. There are scoops, vents and winglets all over the car and these are generally well observed, although some are a little on the large size. There’s plenty of exposed turbo-plumbing at the rear and the main STP orange paint finish is excellent.
Very well finished mass produced resin built models. Ever improving detailing now incorporating more use of photoetched details for added finesse and with excellent paint finishes. Made in China
