Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Alfa Romeo 1st Le Mans 1931 #16 Alternative version SPK3876 #14 Alfa Romeo arrived at Le Mans amid high expectations on the back of victory in the Mille Miglia but they only had two cars tackle the start rather than the intended three when one suffered engine failure on the eve of the race whilst running in new pistons. Those that survived did a fine job, both taking it in turns for the lead and this car scoring a controlled victory in the hands of ex-’Bentley Boys’ Howe & Birkin. The model is well finished and there is some fine subtle detailing, such as delicate etched bonnet straps and fasteners.
Very well finished mass produced resin built models. Ever improving detailing now incorporating more use of photoetched details for added finesse and with excellent paint finishes. Made in China
