The opening laps were the only time that the TWR-Joest Porsches were not right at the front in the 1996 Le Mans 24 Hours and the lap chart shows the rare sight of the #7 machine being in the lead every hour. The TWR chassis design was well proven, having appeared as both a Jaguar and Mazda previously, and so was the flat six, turbo power plant. The general shape of Spark’s model isn’t perfect, but it is very good and the placement of the decoration over the midnight blue paintwork is neatly executed, with strong print density of the decals meaning no colour bleed.

About Spark
The range which changed the 1:43 model market and for which we coined the term 'resincast'. Resin rather than traditional diecast bodies mean that relatively short production runs can be made and what might be marginal subjects become viable. Quality is very consistent with plenty of fine etch used where necessary. A huge range is the result, covering all aspects of (mostly postwar) motorsport and a wide variety of road cars. We typically see around 30 new subjects released per month and pre-orders are strongly recommended. Made in China & Madagascar.
