Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine BMW M1 Gr5 1st Nurburgring 1981 #12 BASF The 1981 running of the Nurburgring 1000km was, in the end, a 388km race, proceedings having to be stopped after the fire from Herbert Mullerís fatal accident damaged the track surface. When time was called, Stuck and Piquet were leading in their BASF sponsored Group 5 BMW M1. Spark has captured the shape of the car pretty well and the decals for the famous concentric circle BASF livery are excellent and have been neatly applied. First impressions when looking at the model were that the colour looks a little dark and this certainly seems to be the case from race photos. Not perfect, but a fair representation.
Very well finished mass produced resin built models. Ever improving detailing now incorporating more use of photoetched details for added finesse and with excellent paint finishes. Made in China
