Porsche 911 Supercup 2015 #12 van Lagen by Spark
Alternative version SPKSF097 Loeb
The basis for these Supercup Porsches is diecast rather than Spark’s usual resincast but apart from the weight there’s nothing obvious to mark them out, with fine etched rear wing supports, crisply moulded wheel and a decent level of finish. Sebastien Loeb was a guest entry for the Spa round of the series and impressed not only with the colourful Red Bull livery on his car but also his overtaking making up seven places against the regulars in the race. Jaap van Lagen’s Momo backed car appears to be from the Monza rounds of the championship, and the race number and decal placement certainly matches images from this event and that would make sense as it’s in Spark’s Italian series.

About Spark
The range which changed the 1:43 model market and for which we coined the term 'resincast'. Resin rather than traditional diecast bodies mean that relatively short production runs can be made and what might be marginal subjects become viable. Quality is very consistent with plenty of fine etch used where necessary. A huge range is the result, covering all aspects of (mostly postwar) motorsport and a wide variety of road cars. We typically see around 30 new subjects released per month and pre-orders are strongly recommended. Made in China & Madagascar.
