Alfa Romeo Alfetta GTV Gr2 Elba 1975 #6 Ballestrieri/Gigli by Tron
Alfa Romeo’s GTV was rallied on and off
for a number of years by the Autodelta
team in a variety of mechanical formats
and here we see the earliest, with a
2-litre normally aspirated engine and
modelled as it won the Elba rally in the
Italian championship. The kit is nicely
cast with a pretty clean bodyshell and
the only slight challenge looks to be cleaning off the feed tags on the undersides of
the very fine front spoiler which will need care. The main body colour is red and the
bonnet is cast separately to make it simpler to paint satin black. We have photos
of the car from other events which suggest that the rear tailgate should also be
satin black but the photos included with the instructions are inconclusive. Overall
it will be a simple enough build and offers a very rare Alfa Romeo rally winner.
