It has been a very quiet week on the arrivals front but one of the handful of new items that has appeared is one of the most important of the year, the Automodelisme Le Mans Special. Every car which started qualifying is featured in detail with multiple exterior views, cockpit and, in many cases, engine bay close ups, all of which will be of great help to modellers as will the colour references. There were some great looking cars in the race and we can't wait to see the models. |

For builders of larger scale models we have new motorcycle accessories from Top Studio Hobby and in 1:24 we have exciting news from Profil 24. An email earlier in the week tells us that they are well on with the patterns for the 2010 Le Mans winning Audi R15 Plus and also the previous year's R15 (catalogue number to be announced later). There's also a new kit from them this week with another recent sports prototype, the Lola Aston Martin LMP1 which finished third at the Sebring 12hrs earlier in the year. |

Moving on to 1:43 and we have a rare new release from Vroom. Again it's for Le Mans collectors and is a very nicely proportioned kit of the Porsche 917LH from Le Mans practice in 1971. There's a new model from Neo this week too with another fine miniature of a classic Alvis road car, this time the last of the line for the Coventry company, the elegant TF21 roaster. |

There is a packed weekend of motorsport ahead with plenty of needle between the teams and drivers for the German GP at Hockenheim. Last weekend Valentino Rossi made a comeback to Moto GP, finishing a fighting fourth despite riding with a healing broken leg and this weekend it's the greatest track on the Moto GP calendar, Laguna Seca.
